Let’s talk about you.
Life is tough right now. Sometimes it even feels as dramatic as a tragedy, and you just can’t get hold of your emotions. They’re up, down, and all-around – cycling through Worry, Sorrow, Shame, Guilt, Rage, Confusion, and Unfulfilled Desires.
Your thoughts run rampant and spiral out of control. And they’re so negative. You’re always thinking and fearing the worst and constantly putting yourself down.
You dream of being in a loving, fulfilling relationship, a genuinely satisfying partnership.
Or that motherhood would be joyful and pleasant.
To be able to think clearly and focus on the tasks at hand, without all the running thoughts. To feel happy more often, without the intensity and dominion of all the unsettling and unpleasant feelings
The main goal is to live a life you love.
Can psychotherapy help?
People tend to hold things inside, stuff them down, or minimize their feelings and unmanageable situations. No matter how distressing or significant an issue may be, we act like everything is fine or downplay just how much we’re struggling because of shame, embarrassment, guilt, or fear.
It doesn’t feel good to be in a hurt condition. And it’s frustrating not to know how to fix it. It especially doesn’t feel good to have an audience of people who know we’re struggling in agony and that we can’t figure it out on our own.
Although you’re highly functional and successful in the outside world, privately, you struggle with your mood, relationship, or pregnancy, postpartum, or motherhood concerns. Therapy can help you get your inside and outside worlds to reflect the same story.
Therapy is where to bring the messy parts you’ve been holding back and get the help you need and want. In therapy, you have a safe, private place to confront painful feelings, destructive behaviors, or complicated situations – judgment-free.
From therapy, you’ll be able to work through the issues holding you back to reach the wellness goals you have for yourself, whether that be a clear mind, balanced emotions, healthy relationships, or joyful motherhood – whatever is optimal to you.
About Me
Hi, I’m Cynthia Garcia – a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.
Treating mood, relationship, and motherhood concerns and helping you live a life you love are my specialties.
I always knew I wanted to help people. Since I was a little girl, I’ve had the desire in my heart.
I’ve continually been the friend to talk to, share secrets with, and asked to give my thoughts. The trustworthy friend and listener.
In high school, I enrolled in my first Psychology Honors class. I was hooked. I went off to college and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology. There I learned how I could specifically help people: the profession of psychotherapy. After that knowledge, I went off to grad school and earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage & Family Therapy.
Since then, I’ve worked in many capacities. From working with abused young girls in a group home, people with severe and persistent mental illness in community mental health care, residential treatment for eating disorders and chemical dependency, to a sexual health clinic providing sex therapy and sex addiction treatment – I’ve been skillfully trained and equipped to work with various populations, struggles, concerns, and situations.
My mission as a psychotherapist in this private practice is to help women with their mental well-being both personally and in relationships and motherhood.
I believe that when women can break through the barriers holding them back and reach their full potential, they can do influential things and make a valuable impact in the world, whether in their family, career, or community.
My heart has always been for working with women, and seeing women move forward is why I love to do this work.
Reach out today so I can help you move forward
to transform your mood, relationship or motherhood experience and live a life you love.
